Dried prawns(javla) with brinjal a konkani dish served as a side in fish thali. I bought a pack of small fresh prawns from local Thai shop which looked similar. So tried this recipe.

Serves: 4
Time: preap: 10 mins. cooking:15mins
Ingredients required:
2 tcp oil
1/2 tspMustard seeds
1-2 chopped onions
150-200 grams small brinjals
1 chopped tomato
1/2 tsp red chilie powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 garam masala/Malvani masala
2-3 cloves of kokam(Garcinia indica)
salt to test
Washed and roasted small dried shrimps
Instructions:
Heat 2tsp of oil in a kadai.
Add1/2tsp mustard seeds
Add chopped onions and saute until golden brown.
Chopped brinjal(optional)
Add chopped tomato(optional)
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp Malwani Masala/Garam Masala
1/2tspturmeric powder and
salt and mix well.
and few kokum( Garcinia indica)for tanginess and mix well.
Add washed and roasted dried Prawns (javla ) and mix. Serve hot with Roti or bhakri.
