Fika is a ritual in Sweden and so is our sweet craving. This is when brownies come as a rescue.

Brownies are basically small, square or rectangular shape chocolate baked confection.

Ingredients required:

2-3 eggs

1/2 cup melted butter

200 grms dark chocolate/milk chocolate

1cup all purpose flour

1 cup Coco powder

1 cup Brown sugar

1/2 cup White powdered sugar

1 tcp vanila essence

TIPS

Good quality chocolates makes good brownies. So here can you pick good mellow Milk chocolate or intense one more like semi or bittersweet. 80% dark chocolate really works well here.

Chop the chocolate slab for better results.

Use double boiler technique for melting chocolate into butter.

Double Boiling Technique

This is a technique where you melt butter and chocolate together in a glass bowl with Steam. To do so , fill a pot with one or two inches of water.Place the glass bowl on top of the pot. Next, add butter and chocolate in the glass bowl and turn on your burner to a simmer. As the water heats in the pot, steam is released and trapped between the bowl and the the pot, which in turn heats the butter and chocolate in the glass bowl.

Heres the recipe:

INSTRUCTIONS:

Pre heat the oven at 200 deg for 10 mins.

Prepare the baking tin by greasing it with butter and Line in the parchmentpaper/butterpaper in tin. Grease the butterpapper with butter.

Wet mixture
Beat 2/3 eggs with a beater continiously 2-4 mins.Eggs must have fluffy textue. Add both colour sugar, brown and White sugar, vanila essence and beat for another 3-4 mins or until sugar and eggs mix together.

Chocolate and butter
Melt the butter in microwave for 1 minute in a bowl .Take it out and add chopped chocolate to it. Let chocolate melt in the butter. If any pieces of chocolate are left, use double boiler techinique for melting remaining chocolate. Do not mest chocolate in microwave as it turns thick consistency. Now add the chocolate butter mixtur with the wet mixture

Dry mixture
Sieve Flour, Coco powder and salt together and add it to wet mixture. Mix it well with a spatula for 1-2 minute.

Pour the mixture to the baking pan which is prepared for baking. Set the oven for 180 deg for 30 mins.

Do not open the oven doors to check in between. After 30 mins switch the oven off and let the brownie sit for next 2-3 mins in the oven.

When its time to remove the baking pan from the oven and let it sit for another 10-15 mins.

Brownies are done when the toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs still clinging. It's okay for the toothpick to look moist, but if you see wet batter, keep baking.

Cut into pieces when its warm. Brownies can be served warm with Milk or any side dish you prefer.

Warm Brownies can be enjoyed with good cup of coffee or warm Milk!!!
